Book review - Babysitters Club

This book is from one of my favorite series. It is an adaption of the world famous collection with over 200 books by author Ann M. Martin. Have you guessed it? It’s the Baby-Sitters Club! These books are amazing. It is a true book-worms accomplishment if you’ve read them all. It appeals to people of all ages as a great series. If you haven’t read it yet, you should give it a try!

Raina Telgemeier recently adapted these as graphic novels. She wrote the first four graphic novel adaptions, and then Gale Galligan wrote another four in her own unique, quirky style. The most recent one came out in September 2020 - Logan Likes Mary Anne.

The book follows shy, sweet and sensitive Mary Anne Spier. She has an overprotective father who has loosened up a bit, but not that much. She has just started 8th grade, and is kind of down in the dumps until she meets a boy named Logan from Kentucky. With his dreamy southern accent, handsome face, and a funny personality, he seems exactly like Mary Anne’s favorite singer, Cam Geary. She is in love, and the best part is, Logan likes her back! But could this just be too much for Mary Anne to handle? Read the book to find out!
